From 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Fresno Christians stood along Abby between Divisidero and Belmont in public prayer for the end of abortion. Like 40 Days for Life, Life Chain seeks to bring peace to the unborn through prayer. While prayer continued in front of Planned Parenthood, Life Chain brought prayer ministry well into the public light on one of Fresno’s busiest streets.

Today, a young woman with four little children in her car pulled up to the vigil asking what it was we were doing. The vigil leader explained “we are praying that God would peacefully end the practice of abortion in our city, our state, and our nation.” Moved by the Spirit of God in her own life, the young woman asked for information about how she could become involved. But the greatest power of this divine appointment was when one of the little girls in her car asked “what’s abortion?”. In the gentlest of terms, and a way that she would understand, the vigil leader helped this little girl know why abortion is a violent wrong. Pray that this child, like her mother, would live every year of her life filled with compassion for the unborn and their mothers.
Pastor Franklin leads Cornerstone Church in downtown Fresno. 40 Days for Life was honored by a surprise visit to the Kick-Off. Pastor Franklin spoke about the power of God bringing healing (spiritual & physical) to the Central Valley.

On Wednesday, September 28th at 6:00PM Christians from around the San Joaquin Valley will gather in prayer to honor Life and intercede for unborn children and their mothers who are threatened and hurt by abortion.

From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM this evening, more than 100 local Central California residents will unite in prayer. Please come join us!
Beginning this morning, along with the Kick-Off Rally, the 40 day vigil will continue to bring the peace of prayer to Fresno’s Planned Parenthood abortion facility. From 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, through November 6th, volunteers will pray and hold vigil. We need fatih people who can pray with us for just one or two hours a week. Please consider giving an hour a week for LIFE.
